Just got back from walking 40 miles through the Appalachians. Saw: four snakes, fifty turtles, ten vultures, one hawk, one million eight hundred thousand bugs of all colors. And walked up hills and down them. Got my feet bruised by rocks. Slept in the rain, on top of South Mountain, under the moon. Drank water, didn't piss it out. Sweated it out. Ate dried whatever. Creek water, mulberries from the tree, some honeysuckle. Calves killing, but feeling good. Tired. Cold Red Stripe in the fridge is my friend.
