The plan is to get a whole draft of this thing done by Sunday night. And then I'll print it out, drill some holes, and put it all in a big binder. Then it's just me and a pencil for a while.
I'm going to go out for a walk now. It's 80 degrees and though my head still hurts from last night, I'm going to take The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter and find a bench and something cold to drink and see how that goes.
I have a hunch about magical realism. I think it's generally great. I think we all crave a little magic, a little unreality, so that when the little bit of magic comes, it feels like that thing we've been missing for so long, what we've been craving since we were little kids, when everything was either magic or curse.
