Just read Steve Almond's fond essay or remembrance of Kurt Vonnegut and it just about broke my heart. I guess I just want everyone to live forever, in a fashion.
It's all about permanence, with me, as always. Is there a way to live forever, so to speak? Can we last and last and last? I don't even need immortality. A different definition of it, maybe, would suffice, some kind of way to keep going that I'm unable, just now, to understand.
