What's the word for "the desire to freeze a time for all times"? Pre-nostalgia?
It's not that, though. It's just that I love it when the trees are this color, when the girls' short dresses first come out, when the sunglasses are first worn, when baseball is young, when the act of being out of doors is still novel, not yet blisteringly hot, and precious because it is still rare.
